Nyack Memorial Park
Working with The Village of Nyack, QRP developed a master plan that links Memorial Park to the Nyack Marina & Public Boat Launch with a new pedestrian bridge and connects the passive, ceremonial upper park with the active lower park. The plan address shoreline stabilization and plans a waterfront esplanade featuring movable cafe seating and space for pop-up food vendors. The plan preserves the sledding hill, and adds planting to frame views of the Mario M. Cuomo bridge.
QRP designed and constructed a series of new amenties following the completion of the master plan including a permeable basketball court, spalsh pad and performance stage. QRP completed construction of the Nyack pier featuring accessible fishing and fish cleaning areas, seating and interpretive signage in collaboration with the Mario Cuomo Bridge Construction project.
Responding to local skateboard groups, QRP brought in noted skateboard designer, Kanten Russell to collaborate on the design and construction of a skate park which features a unique, bridge-inspired design and circular flow for both young skaters and BMX bike enthusiasts.
